transition from boring coach to dynamic developer of future soccer lovers!

For the past 5 years I have been the assistant soccer coach at a private high school. Working with high school age players has been an incredible experience, one in which I will continue enthusiastically for years to come.

However, my two sons (now 8 & 6) have reached the age where soccer is becoming a pretty important part of their lives.

I have watched them go through the first couple of years of their soccer development and have coached them from time to time, but I’ve finally decided to step up the process and really work with them on developing their skills.

While I already had notebooks full of great drills and strategies for working with High Schoolers, the cupboard was a bit bare with regards to youth soccer players.

So I’ve been on a quest for the last year to pull together and test as many soccer drills, tactics, and techniques as possible for working with the younger generation.

This quest has been a great learning experience for me and has really opened my eyes to a greater appreciation of this beautiful game.

I'm now pleased to share an assortment of highly effective drills that work extremely well with our youngest of soccer players.

My main objective in providing this information is simple... I want these youngsters to love the game of soccer!

I want them to love to dribble, shoot, and chase that ball all around the junior sized pitch.

If they grow to love the sport, then the tactics and techniques will come in their own time as they are introduced bit by bit.

Bottom line...I want my sons, Donovan & Deven, knocking that soccer ball around in the backyard as much as they can!
